So im going to slightly stray from the normal luke and riley updates a minute to give an update on dan's health.
For those of you who dont know a few months or so ago dan was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy (a kidney disease). He was diagnosed after his legs were starting swell like a pregnant lady and he had a decrease in engery. Tho it sounds really scary its not terminal. Worst case sinario...he'd need a new kidney in 20 years.
He's currently on a six month treatment with steroids and several other medications. He went a saw the doctor this morning to see if the steroids were helping, and they are! yeah! Dan used to lose up to 9 grams of protein a day in his urine, but now he's down to 4 grams and his blood pressure is better than normal now. It was really high (a side effect of IGA).
So I'd like to ask for continued thoughts and prayers for Dan. We'd like to see this go away and never come back. But you just never know. It's kinda like cancer. You can get rid of it with treatment, but you never know if it will come back.
Oh, and we also found out that since Dan got this disease randomly and not thru his genetics that the likely hood of the boys getting it is slim. So I guess were free to have more kids! Just not now... :)

Wow! I am sorry to hear that. We will keep him in our prayers.
I'm so glad that the latest test results were so positive. How's his energy nowadays?
